Based on observation of the overburden destruction on three independent fully-mechanized coal mining faces with caving of roof coal in Kangping coalfield,the maximum height of the water flowing fractured zone and the height range of the separate zone are obtained in the paper,which have important instructive significance for safe mining of coal faces to be operated beneath a reservoir
