A Consideration on the Research of the Fertility Model for PTGMS Rice

提出了水稻光温敏核不育系育性模型应具备的功能与作用，分析了现有几种主要的育性模型，在此基础上，对未来育性模型研究在观点、方法和内容上提出了一些看法。

It is considered that the functions of a fertility model for the photoperiod and temperaturesensitive genic male sterile (PTGMS)lines in rice should include describing accurately the law of the fertilitychanging,explaining well the causes resulting in all exsited fertility changing phenoniena,guiding the selec-tion and breeding of PTGMS lines and directing the use of them. On the basis of the analysiS of the presentfertility models such as the Second Photooeriod Model,the Photoperiod Temperature Interacting Model andthe Fertility Quantification Model.some suggestions for the future research on the fertility model were also glven in the paper.
