With the rapid development of earth system science, it is one of the urgent imperatives for geologic education that ge ologic talents with high quality is cultivated acceleratedly. This paper summarizes Jin＇s insights and practice rule on geological education, including his modern educational idea, cultivating standard for talents, studying and behaving and so on, which show the demeanor, vision and wise of a scientist.
