摘要
本文在多元文化背景中研究当代大学课程设置,从江泽民同志“要了解当今世界必须了解宗教”这一论断出发,提出中国高等学校开设公共通识课“宗教文化”的设想。文章建议区别作为信仰的宗教与作为文化的宗教,并在此基础上讨论宗教与西方文化的关系、大学开设公共通识课“宗教文化”的思路、学校课程中宗教与科学的关系、和多元文化背景下的高等教育取向。
paper presents a discussion of the basic issues of the university curriculum development in the contemporary context of cultural pluralism, and a proposal of devdoping "Religious Cultures" as a eommon course in general education according to Jiang Zeming's idea that "if one wants to get to know the world, he has got to know religions." The paper suggests that religions as beliefs be distinguished from religions as cultures. And on the basis of the suggestion, it discusses the relation between western cultures and religions, the general plan of "Religious Cultures" as a common course in general education, the relation between science and religion in the curriculum, and the orientations of higher education in the context of cultural pluralism.
