A Cognitive Approach to the Generating Mechanism of Verbal Humour: From the 3-Ds of SCF, CI and CB

言语本身很难有幽默可言,其生成机制在于人们对世间的一切都有一个基本的常规认知框,这个框架经过转换和整合产生了反差效应。幽默正是利用这种反差效应所产生的不一致现象(incongruity),才诱发了人们轻松而愉快的笑声。

Perhaps everyone knows that humour is no more than laughter bursting out from addressees, but not all have a clear picture concerning how laughter derives from. The author argues that language itself do-es not carry any humorous sense at all, and that the generating mechanism of verbal humour lies in the ste-~otypieal cognitive frame used to observe all around us, and the cognitive biasing effects via frameshifting and conceptual integration. It is the incongruity from cognitive biasing effects that evokes relaxation and hap-py laughter from people.
