摘要从英语国家语料库中随机提取commit一词的200条索引进行了语义韵研究。通过对com-mit一词左右搭配的量化分析,得出commit一词的消极语义氛围较为浓重,经常和具有“责任型”语义韵的类连接搭配,从而支持了Sinclair关于“意义影响结构”的观点,说明语义韵的研究对于语言学和语言教学都很有意义。 This paper studied the semantie prosody of the word commit by analyzing 200 concordances lines retrieved from BNC randomly. Through the quantitative analysis of its right and left collocations, conclusion was drawn that the ward commit has a strong negative prosody, and usually occurs in colligation with the semantic prosody of ‘obligation＇, thus, supports Sinelair＇s debate：＂meaning affects the structure＂. The study of semantic prosody is significant to linguistics and applied linguistics.
