图书馆文化精神是图书馆社会功能的核心。21世纪图书馆文化精神的塑造主要体现在文化精神的保存、文化精神的整理、文化精神的激活、文化精神的交流和文化精神的创造。图书馆文化精神主要通过图书馆的服务过程得以弘扬。

The cultural spirit of public library is centre of the social function for public library. The constructing of the cultural spirit of public library in 21th century must be working on preserving of cultural spin＇it, straightening of cultural spirit, arousing of cultural spirit, communicating of cultural spirit and innovating of cultural spirit. The cultural spirit of public library should be enhanced through the serving of library.
