On the Relativity of Scientific Character of Literary Theory

文学理论的科学性是其固有的内在品格,同时,其科学性又是相对的、有条件的。文学理论科学性的相对性包括两个方面的含义,一是具有弹性,二是具有历史性。我们应该以科学性为基础把人文性统一起来,即强调科学性是矛盾的主要方面,文学理论的人文性、个体性和主观性是可以而且应该被统摄在科学性之中的。

The scientific character of literary theory is the inner quality of literary theory. At the same time, it is relative and conditional. That＇s to say, it is elastic and historic. We should integrate the scientific character with the humanistic character of literary theory, and emphasize the fact that scientific character is the main side of literary theory and the humanistic, individual and subjective character can and should be integrated in the scientific character.
