Overview on the Last 40 Chapters Research of A Dream of Red Mansions

自胡适考证出《红楼梦》后40回作者是高鹗以来,关于后40回的著作权,它的思想艺术价值的高下,以及高鹗的人品,就成为红学界争论不休的问题,许多问题至今仍然没有解决。梳理这些不同意见,对新世纪的红学研究会提供一定的借鉴。

Since HU Shi verified that GAO E was the author of the last 40 chapters of A Dream of Red Mansions, the academic circle had focused on the issues about its writer, its thought and art valuation and GAO＇ s character. So far, these arguments haven＇t been settled. It is hoped that sorting these different opinions may offer references for the 21st century study of A Dream of Red Mansions.
