On Democracy and the Construction of Harmonious Society

没有社会主义民主,就没有和谐社会。民主是一种国家制度,也是人民的一种权利。我们要构建和谐社会,没有民主化的进程相伴随,没有人民群众的民主参与则是不可能的,甚至可以说,民主化的程度决定着和谐社会的和谐度。在构建和谐社会的历程中,要保障和维护人民群众的话语权、知情权、选举权、监督权。

There is no harmonious society without the socialism democracy. The democracy is one kind of national system and the people＇s power. It is impossible to construct the harmonious society without democratic advancement following and people＇ s democracy participation, even we can say that advance of democracy decides the degree of harmony of harmonious society. Right of people＇ s words, people＇ s right of knowing the facts of something, people＇ s elective power and people＇ s supervisory authority should be safeguarded and maintained in the course of constructive harmonious society.
