一种基于差分投影的汽车牌照自动识别方法

A method of automatic vehicle license plate recognition based on differential projection

针对汽车牌照的特点,利用差分投影法对汽车图像进行处理,确定出牌照的准确位置并将其整体切割下来;然后利用差分投影法对牌照进行切分,切分出待识别的车牌字符;再利用模板匹配的方法对切分出的车牌字符进行识别。实践证明该方法对汽车牌照的自动识别非常有效。

According to the character of the vehicle license plate its exact position is ascertained and incised entirely using the differential projection method to handle with the automobile image and to get the character code. The character code is identified using the cyclostyle matching method. The practice shows that the method is effective for vehicle license plate automatic recognition.
