A Historical Survey of Chen Han - shen's Investigation in the Countryside in the 1920s - 1930s

陈翰笙在20世纪二三十年代从事或主持的系列农村调查是当时中国马克思主义农村调查的重要一支,它们对马克思主义农业经济学中国化、马克思主义在中国的传播都起了极大地推动作用,并在中国现代社会调查史上亦占有重要的一席之地。意图以精确的调查对中国社会性质作一科学分析,并对当时席卷全国的农业危机作一深切诊断;调查紧紧围绕生产关系而展开;使用阶级分析方法,是陈翰笙农村调查的三个基本特点。

A series of coutry surveys presided by Chen Hansheng in 1920＇s and 1930＇s were an important part of Marxist country investigations. They quitely promoted the course of Chinese - Charaterization of Marxist agricultural economics and the dissemination of Marxism. They took an important place in the history of social investigation in modern China. Scientifically studying social nature of China and diagnosing the agricultural crisis which engulfed the entire country by accurate investigations, investigating closely centering upon production relations, and using methods of class analysis were the three basic features of Chen Hansheng＇s surveys.
