语言的使用是一个不断选择语言的过程。《人民日报》国内版与海外版同一新闻事件的不同标题语反映了语言结构客体与语境因素动态的相互顺应,是新闻工作者顺应读者差异,为达到良好的舆论宣传效果,在较高的意识程度下,顺应语境因素,进行语言选择的结果。

The adaptation theory of Pragmatics holds that using language is a process of mutual adaptation of language structures and their contexts. This paper attempts to apply adaptation theory to a comparative analysis of the headlines in domestic version and overseas version of. People＇ s Daily for the same news, so as to prove that the variability of language use is actually the outcome of language user＇s linguistic choices, which indicates the impact of the contexts, aim of the communication, and degree of the communicator＇s consciousness.
