This paper outlines the main subjects and recent progress in nonequilibrium andnoulinear chemistry.The various nonequilibrium and nonlinear chemical phenomena and relatedtheories of nonequilibrium themodynamics and nonlinear chemical kinetics are presented in de-tail.Some typical methods for theoretical and experimental studies as well as the concept offluctuation chemistry are briefly introduced.The importance of the study of nonequlibrium andnonlinear chemistry and its relation to other branches of science especially to biology are dis-cussed.
