According to the features of rural ecotourism,this paper analyses with SWOT analysis method the merits.demerits, opportunities of and threat to the rural ecotourism development of Xiangyu Ridge in Zhuzhou City and puts forward such countermeasures as directing the development with the demand of market.stressing unique characteristics, treating different items with different principles,managing the development according to its class,and developing local tourism at small community scale.
