摘要
In the course of cross-cultural communication between English and Chinese, People of different cultures show peculiar likeness on color words and often cause great inconvenience to communication, thus they lead to pragmatic failure because of different cultural backgrounds and usages. In order to reduce the failure and enhance deep understanding of color words, the paper illustrates the reasons of using different words and the negative transfer from the origin and choice of words.
