An apparatus was build up to measure the gas solubilities at high temperature (up to 150℃) and high pressure (up to 60MPa). The apparatus mainly consists of a high pressure equilibrium cell, a constant pressure cell and a sampling system. The high pressure equilibrium cell can be set horizontally and is driven by a electric motor to rock it up and down, so that the vapor and liquid equilibrium can be accelerated. The constant pressure cell was used to keep the system pressure constant while the liquid sample was drawn from the high pressure equilibrium cell. The liquid sample was flashed and split into vapor and liquid phases at atmosphere. The measurements were performed on the gas solubilities of methane in water which was investigated previously by others in order to check the reproducibility and accuracy of the measurements.
