科技英语的隐喻认知机制及对教学的启发

摘要 科技英语从本质上说是隐喻性的,其认知机制基于源域和目标域两个心理空间的跨空间映射,在映射的基础上进行重新整合产生合成空间,形成新的结构,衍生新的科学概念。把握这一隐喻认知机制对科技英语教学有现实意义。 Scientific English is metaphoric in nature. Its cognitive mechanism is based on the cross-domain mapping between two metal input spaces, which are the source domain and the target domain. In mapping the blended space, which has its own structure, is generated, and new scientific concepts are derived. Good mastery of this kind of cognitive mechanism offers help to scientific English teaching.
