The Taoist priests in Liao Zhai are a special community who appeared in both the fairyland and the world, carried the spirit of God and hid themselves from the human society. This paper elaborates the types of Taoist priests in Liao Zhai, and also probes PU Song-ling＇ s inclination to Taoism. In terms of attitude towards life, PU Song-ling showed a strong belief in Confucianism, emphasizing intervention to life and constructing harmony in life.
