The Opposite Reality of "Qu"(Take) as an Affix

关于单音节动词后的“取”字,前人有“语助辞”、“时态助词”及“词缀”等各种说法,可称为“V取”式。但在古汉语中,实际上存在着极大量的“取V”式双音节动词这些与“取”字“词缀”说相反的语言事实,有力地证明“取”是一个泛义用法的动词,而不应看作“词缀”。

There are different opinions about the qu after one syllable verb, which is called V - qu pattern. But in ancient literary style, there are a large number of qu - V pattern of two syllable verbs, which mean the meaning opposite of the affix of qu. So qu is a verb with broad indication usage, should not be regarded as an affix.
