中国民办高等教育发展的历史与现状

The History and the Present State of the Development of Our Country's Civilian-run Higher Education

中国的民办高等教育历史悠久。从春秋战国时期发源,到唐宋的书院教育,曾经十分繁荣,但到了近代却逐渐衰落。改革开放以后,中国的民办高等教育逐步复苏、发展、壮大,至今已有实施普通学历教育的民办高校228所,其中实施本科学历教育的民办高校25所,在校生71.1万人。中国的民办高等教育已经进入了持续健康发展的新阶段。

The Chinese civilian-run higher education has experienced a long history. Starting from the period of Spring and Autumn and Warring States to the period of academy of classical learning in Tang and Song dynasties ,it had been quite splendid ,but got gradually declined in modern times. After the time of reform and opening it gradually resuscitates ,develops and gets strong. Till now there are 228 civilian-run colleges and universities that carry out regular educational background education and 711,000 students there. The Chinese civilian-run higher education has entered a sustained and healthy developing stage.
