“透明翻译”与“零位信息”补偿

"Zero Message"in Translation

美国著名《圣经》翻译理论家尤金.奈达提出的“零位信息”(zero message)功能补偿翻译理论和策略,不仅促进了《圣经》在全世界范围内的广泛翻译和传播,而且也为跨文化交际中文化语词的翻译提供了足够的理据和实例。然而,“零位”补偿与“透明”翻译一样,采用的都是“归化”策略,它不仅掩盖了不同文化之间的差异,而且也消解了翻译本身。

It is Eugene A. Nida＇s concept of ＂dynamic equivalence＂ with its compensation theory of ＂zero message translation＂ that has made the possibility of Bible translation worldwide and the ＂cultural loaded＇words in crossculture communication as well. But the concept like that of the ＂transparent translation＂ theory is message -oriented with the domestic approach that ignores the cultural differences between the languages and deconstrncts translating itself. Thus, it is less useful for literary translation, which concerns not only just the message but also the ways in which that message is expressed.
