通过对有关早期医学文献和现代研究整理分析,对比中国与其他古代传统文化与医学尤其是古希腊医学之间的异同,认为古代中国人是通过在四肢手足部施灸发现并认识经络的。这一重大发现同时受到中国特有的“气”的理论及实践和占卜术的影响。

After an analysis of early medical documents and modem researches and a comparison between traditional Chinese medicine and culture and other ancient civilized systems especially the ancient Greece, it is concluded that the ancient Chinese medical practitioners discovered the phenomenon of channels and collaterals by applying moxibustion on the hands and feet of the human body. And the unique Chinese concept and practice of qi and divination has played an important role during the process of this important discovery.
