GUO Sai-shan was born on October 24, 1938, in Putian Fujian Province, 1960 graduated in Shanghai First Medical College （now Shanghai Medical University）. At present, she is the Professor of Peking Union Medical College. Chief Doctor,Post-doctorate Tutor, in 1991 to 2002 she was appointed as Director of Department of Traditional Chinese Medicine （TOM）;
