队戏《唐僧西天取经》是《西游记》演变过程中失落已久的一个重要环节。这一环节表明了《西游记》的取经故事在宋元时期曾经依赖于三晋地区的戏剧形式而迅速生长增殖。它的重新发现,启示我们还有更早的原生取经故事,也使我们注意到杂剧《西游记》对佛教的孙悟空取经猴与道教的闹天宫的齐天大圣猴的文化整合,使得我们可以重新厘定《西游记》成书过程的各个环节。

＂Tang Monk＇s Pilgrimage for Buddhist Scriptures＇ ＇duixi＂ （a folk drama in Sanxi province）, an important long-lost stage of the evolution of＂ A Journey to the West＂, indicates the story of pilgrimage for Buddhist Scriptures developed in the form of drama in Sanxi province during the Song and Yuan Dynasties. Its rediscovery reveals that we can discover earlier primary pilgrimage stories, and that we should give our attention to the cultural integration in ＂A Journey to the West＂, the ＂zaju＂ （poetic drama in the Yuan Dynasty） of Sun Wukong, going on a pilgrimage in the Buddhist story and Monkey King, revolting against the Heaven in the Taoist story, in order that we can redefine the stages of the completing of ＂A Journey to the West＂.
