综合介绍了2004-2005年国内外磁学和磁性材料在基础和应用研究方面的若干新进展。这是从1977年开始的每年撰写新进展综述的继续。全文分为（一）（二）两部分，第一部分含一般磁性和非金属磁性、微波磁学、磁光学、磁电子学、磁记录学、磁共振学（铁磁共振、顺磁共振、核磁共振，Mossbauer效应）；第二部分含金属磁性、稀土磁学、纳米和非晶磁学、磁性材料和磁效应、磁技术和磁应用、交叉磁学（生物磁学、地球磁学和宇宙磁学、原子核磁学和基本粒子磁学）。资料取自这一时期的磁学会议和期刊文献。附录中列出2005年国内外有关磁学会议的题录。

The new developments on magnetism and magnetic materials for application and basic research in China and other countries between 2004 and 2005 have been summarized in this paper.This synthetic review is the continuation of each year since 1977. It has two parts.As the secondary part, the paper mainly comments on metallic magnetism, rare earth magnetism, nanomagnetism, amorphous magnetism, magnetism materials, magnetic effects, magnetic technology, magnetic application and cross magnetism, such as biomagnetism, geomagnetism, cosmic magnetism, atomic nucleus magnetism and basic particles magnetism. The information comes from the colleciton of related magnetic meetings and periodicals between 2004 and 2005. The titles of the related magnetism meetings both in China and in other countries in 2005 are listed in the appendix.
