Take advantage of the historical archives, the paper made a roughly estimate on the amount of the silver and copper coins which concluded that, prior to the monetary reform, there were at least 2 billion silver yuans in circulation, and the total number of the copper coins, if in the unit of ten-wen cash, reach to 8 to 9 million.
