Economic Growth and Economic Development

经济增长不等于经济发展,它仅表示一种总量的扩张,中国经济高速增长的背后,存在着效益低下、消耗过高、环境恶化、分配不公等许多问题;而我们所要的经济发展是在经济增长基础上出现的社会经济的多方面进步。

Economic growth is not equal to economic development, because it only represents the expanse of the gross. Behind the quick growth of China＇ s economy are many problems such as low efficiency, high wastage, deteriorated environment, unfair allocation and so on. In fact, the economic development that we want is the overall progress of social economy on the basis of economic growth. Therefore, centering around the concept of ＂people - oriented, all - sided, harmonious, and sustainable development＂, we are seeking for the strategy and approach to realize economic development, strengthening the developmental motivity, improving the developmental quality, boosting all -around development of science, education, social culture and public sanitation, thus establishing a harmonious society.
