摘要
论文探讨了一种基于SOPC(SystemonaProgrammableChip,可编程片上系统)的指纹识别系统的设计方案——CPU结合用户自定义逻辑的方案[5]。此方案的设计思想是以下载到FPGA(FieldProgrammableGateArray)的Nios3.0嵌入式软核CPU为系统控制模块,并运用FPGA逻辑单元实现指纹图像处理,从而达到高速指纹识别。本方案中指纹图像处理的大部分算法采用VerilogHDL(HardwareDescriptionLanguage)硬件描述语言设计的专用指纹图像处理模块实现,在很大程度上提高了系统速度。论文给出了系统的总体设计方案,实现了系统功能,对系统的测试结果进行了分析,并根据实际情况对系统进行了优化,减少了器件资源的耗用。
A kind of approach about a fingerprint identification system based on SOPC--CPU integrating with user's self-defining logic is discussed in the thesis.Nios embedded IP core CPU which has been downloaded to FPGA(Field Programmable Gate Array) acts as the controler of the system,and FPGA's logic units are used to implement the special-purpose of fingerprint image manipulation,This approach has achieved a high-speed fingerprint identification.Most of the fingerprint image manipulation modules are designed in Verilog HDL(Hardware Description Language ) .h greatly raises the system speed.The whole design scheme of the system has been given,the functions have been implemented, the results have been analyzed.The resource of the chip has been decreased by optimizing the system.
