The Significance of Field Study in Language Research

就作者多年参加田野调查的体会,联系中国语言的实际和语言研究的任务,谈谈田野调查中的一些理论、方法问题。全文分三部分:田野调查是获得语料的一个主要途径;田野调查者必须具备的基本条件;田野调查是语言研究的永恒任务。

Basing on his own experience of field study in the past decades,and integrating with the tasks of languge practice and research,the author discusses about some issues of theories and methods in field study.The article contains three parts;field study is a main way to obtain language meterials;what basic qualifications are required for field workers,field study is an everlansting task of language research.
