The characteristics of qualitative, quantitative and meta-synthesis methodology of weapons development strategy study are introduced. The meta-synthesis methodology is selected so as to meet the needs for weapons development strategy study system as a complex huge one, and the main methods used in different period and level of the study are presented. Based on flexible simulation system, integrating expert system and intelligent decision support system, embedding adapted qualitative methods and quantitative methods, covering related model base, method base, data base and etc, meta-synthesis hall is an effective approach for further study.
