In this paper, a new species of the genus Mycomya Rondani from Beijing is described. The type specimen is preserved in the Insect collections of Beijing Agricultural University.Mycomya tricamata Wu et Yang, sp. nov. (figs. 1￣3)Male Wing length 4.20mm. First flagellomere 3.5￣4.0, 2nd 2.0￣2.5 times as long as wide. Pronotum with 2 longer setae. Scutellum with 4 scutellers. COxa I without special setae. Coxa II without spur. Leg ratios: btl: tl =0.74 ￣ 0.76, bt2: t2=0.65 ￣ 0.70, bt3:t3=0.59. Apical part of Sc bearing 3 ￣ 5 macrotrichia. Small cell 1.5 ￣ 2.0 times as long as wide. M ratios= 0.74, 0.93; CU ratios: 1.06, 1.46.Macrotrichia: M petiole O, M1O, M2O; Cu petiole 0, Cu1O, CU2O. The male hypopygium being shown in figs. 1￣ 3.Female Unknown.The new species is closely allied to V neodentata Vaisanen, but can be distinguished by the characters of the male hypopygium.Holotype♂ , Xiaolongmen Forestry Farm, Mentougou, Beijing, Sept. 4, 1976, collected by Chikun Yang.
