As to the safety of aged bulk carrier in operation, reinforcing management, making precautions of safety and adopting management measures are the preconditions to ensure the safety of ship operation. In the paper the defects of aged bulk carrier＇s operation are mainly discussed and the trouble caused by these defects are analyzed. The management measures that should be taken in aged bulk carrier operation and some suggestions are proposed.
