The basic concept of BRDF(Bidirectional Reflectance Distribution Function)is defined and discussedas being the ratios of differential outputs of radiance divided by differential inputs of irradiance,The variation of BRDF with wavelength and temperature is discussed.The method of selecting appropriate optical black surfaces for a well-baffled system is then described.
