主位理论历史及应用之比较

Comparison of the History and Application of Theme

自从实义切分理论提出以来,语言学家对此展开了不同的研究。布拉格学派将该理论应用于句子的信息结构研究,而韩礼德则主要将其应用于语篇分析,二者对该理论有不同的解释,对主述位的界定也各不相同。本文主要是介绍实义切分理论两个不同流派之间的历史渊源,比较其研究动机、划分标准和应用,建议从信息主述位结构和语篇主述位结构两个不同的方向进行实义切分研究。

Upon the Functional Sentence Perspective （ FSP）, linguists have proposed different researches. The Prague school applies the theory to the analysis of the informational structure of sentences. Halliday, initiator of the systemic functional grammar, applies the theory to the discourse analysis. However, the two schools have different interpretation of the theory, and give it different definitions. This paper mainly introduces the history of the two different branches of the FSP, compares their initiatives, defining criteria, and applications. It proposes that FSP should apply to the informational analysis on one hand, and to the discourse analysis on the other hand under the same theme - rheme configuration.
