The generalized nonlinear complementarity problem is the extension of the classical nonlinear complementarity problem. It is very important and useful in industrial and agricultural production. So we reformulate the generalized nonlinear complementarity problem over a polyhedral cone as a system of smoothing equations and a smooth unconstrained optimization problem by using a smoothing function, and present the relation of the stationary point of the merit function and the solution of the generalized nonlinear complementarity problem.
