异化翻译策略:全球一体化走向中的文化期待

Foreignization:A Cultural Expectation in the Context of Globalization

不同语言文化之间的差异性与渗透性是异化翻译策略的理据。在文化全球化的时代背景下,异化翻译策略越来越显示出其重要性和必要性。英译汉采用异化策略是历史文化发展的必然选择,符合人们求新求异的审美取向,达到丰富汉语语言、促进文化交流的目的;汉译英采用异化策略是传播中华文化、挑战文化霸权的需要,在张扬中华民族文化个性的基础上,构建与西方文化平等对话的平台。

Based on the contrastive analysis of domestication and foreiguization from the historical and cultural perspective, this paper holds that foreignization needs to be adopted in both E/C and C/E translation. Foreiguization in E/C translation can satisfy a growing thirst for the new and alien, and enrich Chinese language and culture ; foreiguization in C/E translation can spread Chinese culture and literature to the Western world, having an equal dialogue with dominent culture.
