The Vienna Circle's Important Influences on Bertalanffy

In the period of his early academic career, affected by Vienna Circle, especially by Carnap＇s Aufbau theory, Bertalanffy tried to solve the problems that resulted from the development of science through the development of modern science and the using of methods of modern science. He believed the progress of science and the generalization of scientific methods would help people arrange their social lives reasonably. So like the Vienna Circle, Bertalanffy used the new resources of natural science and the tools of formal language, pursued the certainty and accuracy of scientific knowledge and tried to build the sound foundations for scientific knowledge. He also tried to make philosophy more scientific and accurate in order to realize the unification of science.
