The basic principle and application of secondary cooling technique was discussed, including basic ways of secondary cooling strength control arid its several choices for different kinds of steel. At last, a proposition of slab continuous casting＇s reform for Shanxi New Lingang Iron ＆ Steel Co., Ltd was put forward.
