论铁路与新疆的城镇发展

On Railway and the Town Construction in Xinjiang

铁路在新疆城镇发展中具有重要作用,本文认为建国以来的铁路建设,在多方面促进了新疆城镇发展,也改变了新疆城镇的空间格局。但由于新疆铁路建设还远不够完善,还有必要加速建设以铁路为骨干的“高速新疆”,使其成为新疆社会经济发展的重要支点。

This paper thinks that railway plays an important role in the development of Xinjiang. The construction of railway since the founding of People's Republic of China has not only promoted the development of Xinjiang, but also changed the spacial setup of town of Xinjiang. However, Xinjiang railway is not perfect and has to speed up to build 'the high-speed Xinjiang' taking railway as its backbone in order to make it the important pivot in the development of Xinjiang society and economy.
