Anthology of Detective Stories, the first collection of detective stories, had important influences on other collections of detective stories in Ming dynasty. Many story themes of this anthology were adopted by other story collections. In the aspect of literary style, the anthology laid the foundation of the style of detective stories in Ming dynasty, and inspired the biographic style and judicatory style to emerge.
