Enlightenment from D.H.Lawrence's Educational Ideology in Women in Love

劳伦斯在《恋爱中的女人》中阐述了多种观点,国内评论界对这部小说涵义的阐释主要集中在自我观,爱情婚姻观及妇女观,而作品中呈现的教育观几乎无人观照。而这一作品所具有的呼吁教育改革的意识,微妙地揭露了19世纪末20世纪初英国教育制度的弊端和教育理念的滞后。劳伦斯在《恋爱中的女人》中所倡导的“完善人格,培养个性,全面发展”的教育思想为教育改革提供了思路,与我国正在实施的素质教育极其默契。

Critics at home mainly concentrate their interpretations of this novel on the first three and ignore the last one, to which this paper turns its attention. The writer holds that in Women in Love D. H. Lawrence harshly criticizes the drawbacks of British educational systems and the backwardness of its educational ideology in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. His advocacy of ＂personality integration and all-round development＂ is closely related to quality education being carried out in China.
