The current application situation of China-made digital fault recorders for generator-transformer units is presented. The digital fault recorders are applied to large generator units and will provide powerful safeguard to system running reliability and fault analysig Emphasis is lald on the reliability and security of the generator systems. By analyzing the application of these current fault recorders, the network recorders should be developed. The fault data are recorded and the power quality analysis will be shared in power plants and substations.
