试析1874年日本对台湾的侵略

Analysis of Japanese Invasion of Taiwan in 1874

1874年日本借口琉球漂民事件发动对台湾的侵略,是近代日本对中国进行的第一次侵略,是日本对中国发动不断扩大的侵略战争的序幕。由于日本的狂妄野心、狡猾无赖和清政府的软弱妥协、应对失策,结果以受害方中国向侵略方日本赔款换取日军撤出台湾,对以后中外关系发展产生了极其恶劣的影响。

Japanese invasion of Taiwan in 1874 under the pretext of the incident that Liu-Chiu＇s seamen shipwrecked in Taiwan were killed by local aborigines, was the modern Japan＇s first invasion of China and the prelude of expanding wars of aggression against China. Because of Japanese government＇s huge ambition, slyness,shamelessness and the Ching government＇s weakness, compromise, wrong policy, the invasion was ended with the Ching government＇s paying reparations to Japan in return for the withdrawal of Japanese troops from Taiwan. The final result had an extremely bad influence on later China＇s relations with other countries.
