当今城市环境问题突出,甚至出现了严重的生态危机,使城市陷入了困境。生态学的长足发展和生态学思维方式的出现,为研究和彻底解决城市问题提供了有力的工具。因此,城市社会学作为一门运用多种方法研究城市问题的学科,应当吸收生态学的最新观念和方法,以城市的发展模式、城市人的生活方式、城市人对环境的关注和参与等为研究主题,开拓城市社会学研究的新方向。

Fortunately, the rapid development of ecology and relevant ecological consciousness provides us with a powerful tool to study and thoroughly solve urban problems. Therefore, as a disciplne to study uvban problems by using a vaviety or methods, urban sociology, based on the research subject of urban development patterns, urban lifestyle as well as urban dwellers＇ concern about their environment, etc, should absorb the latest concepts and methods of ecology and explore new directions in urban sociological research.
