From Lu Yin's and Bingxin's Early Novels to Analyze the Contradictory and Complementary Nature of Modern Women's Pursuits

庐隐笔下的“叛女”与冰心笔下的“淑女”呈现了两种不同的价值倾向:一种是张扬个性,具有独立的自主意识的人的要求;一种是相夫教子,只意识到家庭与婚姻职责的女性倾向。这两种价值倾向在现实生活中往往是既互相矛盾着,又互为补充的。这种冲突与互补,一方面在两个女性群中各有侧重体现,另一方面,这种冲突与互补还往往合二而一体现在个体女性身上,呈现出自相矛盾的现象。

The ＂rebellious women＂ created in Lu Yin＇s works and the ＂ladies＂ created in Bingxin＇s works display two different kinds of value orientation, with one thinking of personality and pursuing independence and the other being aware of the responsibility of family and marriage. The above-mentioned two value tendencies are both contradictory and complementary in real life, the display of which can be found in both groups of women but with different proportions for each of them. Besides, the values sometimes become one and display on a specific female individual who shows very contradictory characteristics of hers in real life.
