An Analysis of the Income Disparity of Urban Residents in Different Regions in China

从统计数据看,我国各地区间城镇居民收入存在较大差距。这种差距将影响我国经济的正常发展,若这种差距继续扩大,还会引发一系列的社会问题,因此应引起我们的高度重视。缩小区域间城镇居民收入差距应实行区域协调发展战略,中央政府进行财政转移支付和形成劳动力合理流动的市场机制等策略。

Statistically, there are relatively big gaps between the income of urban residents in different regions in China. These gaps will have negative impact on China＇s economic development＇ and, if allowed to increase, will bring about a series of social problems. Therefore, they must be taken into serious consideration. In order to decrease the gaps between the income of urban residents in different regions, strategies for harmonious interregional development must be adopted, and the central government must conduct fiscal transfer payment and form the market mechanism for rational flow of labor force.
