摘要
地理信息系统是处理与空间和地理分布有关数据的空间信息系统，它是数据库新的应用领域之一。复杂地理数据的存储、操作以及复杂对象的表达向传统的数据库模型提出了挑战，面向对象的数据模型更适合ＧＩＳ。针对传统数据模型在ＧＩＳ应用中所存在的缺陷，通过对ＧＩＳ中数据和操作的分析，给出了面向对象概念在ＧＩＳ数据模型中的应用，提出了１种面向对象的ＧＩＳ数据模型（简称ＯＯ－ＧＩＳ－ＤＭ），并进行了描述。以ＯＯ－ＧＩＳ－ＤＭ为基础，在ＷＩＮＤＯＷＳ环境下，以ＶＣ＋＋为开发工具设计并实现了ＧＩＳＦＯＲＷＩＮＤＯＷＳ系统。文中介绍了系统的数据模型、功能及特点，给出了实现方法。
A Geographic information system(GIS)is a spatial information system that processes spatially referenced data,and it has found new application in the database.The spatial nature of GIS data and the operations performed on them and the need to consider a complex object as single entities have led to the view that the object-oriented data model may be better suited to this application than the traditional one. This paper discusses the key concepts and techniques in object-oriented GIS data modelling(OO-GIS-DM).It proposes a kind of OO-GIS-DM by analyzing the data structure and operations of GIS.It describes the data model,The system used for illustrating OO-GI-DM,GIS FOR WINDOWS,is developed with VC + + in WINDOWS. The data model,functions and characteristics of GIS FOR WINDOWS and the method of building it are introduced.
