TEM-4考试模式的改革趋势与专业基础英语教学

TEM-4 Testing Modes ＆ Fundamental English Teaching Reform

本文通过对2004年新版《高校英语专业四级考试大纲》（以下简称TEM-4考纲）以及2005年全国英语专业四级统考试卷的题型构成进行分析，总结出新TEM-4考试模式的改革趋势：倾向于将基本语言技能综合起来考查。测量学生的英语综合运用能力。文章同时有针对性地提出教学调整的5个策略，以适应语言教学和语言测试不断发展和改革的需要。

With the revising of its testing syllabus,TEM- 4 is undertaking a big reform. This article studies the current tendency of the changes in the 2005 TEM- 4 mode, and puts forward a suggestion that fundamental English teaching should be open to modification in five respects： 1）Curriculum set-up 2） Course-book ,selection 3） Classroom methodology 4） Academic testing skills and 5） Teaching administration.It points out that the new 2005 TEM- 4 mode does not only test on our students＇ English knowledge and basic langusge skills but also stresses on their imegrative application of these knowledge and skills, Fundamental English teaching,accordingly,ought to make some adjustments in the five aspects in order to meet the demands of the development and the reform in English teaching and testing.
