ON THE CONTAINMENT STRATEGY OF THE BUSH'S ADMINISTRATIONDIRECTED AGAINST RUSSIA

美国的布什总统执政以来,美俄关系时有起伏,但遏制战略一直是布什政府对俄政策的主体。布什政府不但把俄罗斯看作“失败国家”,而且借助北约东扩、分化独联体、发动“反恐”战争等方式肆意挤压俄罗斯的国际生存空间,从而严重削弱了俄罗斯的国际影响。

The US - Russia relation hasn＇ t gone smoothly since President Bush took office, and the containment strategy is the major part of American policy directed against Russia. The Bush＇ s administration not only regards Russia as a declining country, but also tries to squeeze its international space via expanding NATO eastwards, breaking up the Commonwealth of Independent States and launching counter- terrorism war. The containment strategy will be the major impediment to the rising of Russia.
